Along the Way:
- Excellent weather for walking as it was a bit overcast and not as humid as it had been,
- Walking through the Botanic Gardens we found many paths inundated with water from the super high tide.
- Always a good view from Mrs Macquarie’s Point and Chair. Plenty of tourists there and it was still early morning!
- Walked past the Boy Charlton Pool.
- Morning tea at a lovely Turkish café in Woolloomoloo. Lots of navy personnel in uniform looking very handsome and also having a morning tea break.
- Through streets, up steps, down narrow paths into the suburbs of Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Rushcutters Bay, Darling Point, Double Bay, Point Piper and Rose Bay.
- Many Art Deco buildings to be seen as well as buildings from the 1800s and of course some very modern structures as well.
- Lots of beautiful fig trees giving shade along the way, although how their branches don’t break off more often I’ll never understand.
- St Vincents College looked splendid as did the other houses in that street that led up to Potts Point.
- Woollahra Council Chambers had a wonderful view overlooking Murray Rose Baths and back up the harbour.
- Peeked into some gardens and house fronts of some large glamorous houses.
- Lunch at a café in Rose Bay not far from the ferry stop. Lovely food and drinks.
- Caught the ferry back to Circular Quay on none other than the one named Ferry McFerryface.
- Nothing like seeing our fabulous icons in splendour around the harbour; Fort Denison, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
