Venue: Balmain East (Tom Uren Walking Trail)

Start: Met at Circular Quay (08.45) before catching the 9.05 ferry to Balmain East wharf.

Coffee at Euforia Espresso at Balmain East
Point of Interest:
We followed the Tom Uren Walking Trail - Balmain East historical walk. Tom’s hat symbol is displayed on the footpath as well as posts.
A rare view of Goat Island was obtained from Simmons Point Park, originally the site of the Adelaide Steamship Company wharves. The walk back up to street level was reminiscent of Lombard St, San Francisco and is called "The Zig Zag".
Followed trail onwards to Propellor Park (Mort Bay) before heading up to Darling street.
After lunch at the Balmain Bowling Club we completed the remainder of the walk, Followed trail down Ewenton Street passing Hampton Villa before reaching Ewenton Park where the NSW Water Police is based on Camerons Cove. We then climbed up a boardwalk before descending to Illoura Reserve and then back to Balmain East wharf.
Finish: We then caught the bus at 2.05pm to Town Hall, Peter alighting at White Bay to catch the 501 back home.
Distance: 7km
